Kukurizaru at Yasaka Kousin Shrine
My motive for visitingYasaka Kousin Shrine came fromthe magazine "Savvy" in which much of color Kukurizaru appeared.The hue, red, blue, yellow and violet were impressive when I payed a visit the shrine last year. If you want to see KukurizaruI , I recommend that you visitYasaka Kousin Shrine. It's in the vicinity of Hokan temple.(You get on the bus for Kiyomizu-michi)
I thought it was rare about the divine favor than that of other shrines. That is way, the divine favor definitely was written on Koushin-san's likes and dislikes as follows.
Koshin-san likes good people. Therefore, divine favor is given to them.
But he is much averse to bad people. Therefore, punishment is given to them.
His wish is that everybody will become a good person. That is why, he has an angry face so that humans will not have a immoral heart. He aids those who try with all their mind to be a good person.
The kukurizaru is a monky which has its hands and feet tied together and cannnot move. It is said that the monky is an animal that simply acts upon its mind or desire. If you go to a zoo, you can see that the monky just plays about as it likes. The figure is compared to the desire in man, so, in other words " desire" can not come out as it is tied by Koshin.
In order to have one of your wishes granted by the monkey, you should ward off your desires.
If you feel a desire coming on, you should put your hands together, pray to Koushin and recite the Buddhist sutra.
" ON DEIBA YAKISYA BANTA BANTA KAKAKA SOWAKA'
I will be punished, remembering Koushi's angry face.
※About Koushin
Koushin means the day of "Kanoe Saru" in the Oriental zodiac. " Sanshi no Mushi" means " three worms", represents worms that come from the gut at night and ascend into heaven.It's called it as "Koushin Machi" which means Koushin-san waits for the moment.Koushin-san convey bad acts to the heaven emperor who is God of longevity, and then the heaven emperor shortens the longevity of a person acting badly as a punishment.
私は雑誌Savvyに掲載されていた色とりどりのくくり猿をきっかけに八坂庚申堂に行きたいと思いました。昨年に訪れた時、赤、青、黄色と紫の色合いが印象に残っています。
もし、くくり猿を一目みたいと思ったら八坂庚申堂を訪れることを勧めます。
法観寺の近くにあります。（清水道行きのバスになります。）
私は、他の神社と比べて八坂庚申堂のご利益は珍しいと思いました。というのも、ご利益がはっきりと、下記のとおり、庚申さんの好き嫌いが書かれているからです。
庚申さんはいい人が好きです。だから良い人にはご利益を与えます。
庚申さんは悪い人が嫌いです。だから悪い人には罰を与えます。
庚申さんの願いはみんながいい人になることです。
だから、みんなが悪い心を起こさないようにこわい顔をしています。
庚申さんは良い人になろうとする人を応援します。
くくり猿はお猿さんが手足をくくられて動けない姿を表しています。お猿さんは欲望、心のあるがままに動き回ると言われています。もし、あなたが動物園に行ったらそのような、あるがままに動き回っているお猿さんを見ることができます。くくり猿の姿は人間の欲望と比べられて、つまり、庚申さんによって手足が結ばれて欲望を出さないことができます。くくり猿に願い事を託して、欲望を追い払うこと。
”おん でいば やきしゃ ばんた ばんた かかかか そわか”
庚申さんの忿怒の顔を思い出すと、罰されるでしょう。。
※庚申について
庚申とは干支で、庚（かのえ）申（さる）の日を意味します。”三尸の虫”は三匹の虫が夜に、人間の腹から外に出て天にのぼっていきます。庚申さんが人間の体内から抜け出る”三尸の虫”を待っている時を”庚申待ち”と言います。庚申さんは寿命を司る天帝に悪いおこないを伝えます。そして、天帝は悪いことをした人の寿命を罰として短くさせます。
